The Escarpment Trail

Arguably the most picturesque trail in the Catskills, this 23.9 mile path follows the northeastern border of the Catskill Mountains.  It can be hiked over 2 or 3 days.  I traversed this trail in two.

Stone Church at Dover Plains, NY

A registered national historic site, this unique and natural rock formation is the centerpiece of a small, local preserve.

Overnight & Bushwhack to 3 Summits

Not many people summit these 3 peaks in 1 hike.  I did!

North Dome & Mt. Sherrill: Hunter-West Kill Wilderness

Venture off trail and bushwhack your way through the mountain wilderness to these two Catskill 3500 peaks.

Miles: 9-10 (My Fitbit had my at 12+ though)

Sugarloaf Mountain Loop

A great way to break my hiking hiatus; an awesome trek, difficult for the less experienced.

Time: 4-6 hours

Tongue Mountain Range, Lake George Wild Forest

Complete this strenuous loop hike in a day, or make a night of it.
